Magic: The Gathering — Reality Fracture is an expansion that takes players into a completely transformed reality. After years of conflict, loss and destruction, Jace Beleren has decided to create a better Multiverse — a world where he could eliminate suffering and the mistakes of the past.
His plan has created the Echoverse, a mirrored reality where familiar heroes, legendary creatures and powerful spells take on new and often unexpected forms. But Jace's perfect reality comes at a price, threatening to replace the Multiverse as we know it.
Reality Fracture represents the culmination of Jace Beleren's long-running storyline, bringing a confrontation between the original Multiverse and its reimagined counterpart. Players will encounter familiar characters including Jace, Ajani, Chandra, Liliana, Vraska and Garruk, discovering their roles in the battle for the future of reality.
The expansion combines new gameplay strategies, special collectible card treatments and a visual identity built around the contrast between reality and its mirrored reflection.
Among its most distinctive features are Echoed Pairs, connected card variants depicting different possibilities within the same reality, and special Shattered Mirror cards with a unique visual design.

Jace Beleren and the Echoverse
Jace Beleren, one of the most recognisable Planeswalkers in Magic: The Gathering history, has lost faith in the future of the existing Multiverse after numerous tragedies.
He decided to create a new reality where suffering, wars and disasters that shaped the history of countless worlds could be prevented. This gave rise to the Echoverse — an alternate Multiverse shaped by Jace's vision of a perfect world.
However, his creation threatens the existence of the original Multiverse. Former allies must therefore unite to stop Jace's plan from erasing the worlds they know.
Reality Fracture allows players to experience this story through new cards, alternate versions of popular characters and thematic gameplay strategies.
Special Collectible Cards
Reality Fracture offers a variety of exciting card treatments that are particularly appealing to collectors and longtime Magic: The Gathering fans.
- Echoed Pairs – connected cards depicting alternate versions of familiar characters and concepts from the Multiverse
- Shattered Mirror Cards – special collectible cards featuring fractured-reality designs
- Facet Foil – a special foil treatment for selected Shattered Mirror cards found in Collector Boosters
- Borderless Cards – alternate illustrations without traditional card borders
- Bloodline Recollector – a special collectible card illustrated by artist Mark Poole
- Serialized Bloodline Recollector – an exceptionally rare variant limited to 500 serialized copies
One of the most notable collector highlights is the Serialized Bloodline Recollector, available in only 500 individually numbered copies. The card was illustrated by Mark Poole, an artist known for some of the most iconic illustrations from Magic: The Gathering's early history.
Serialized variants can be found in Reality Fracture Collector Boosters. Their gameplay functionality is identical to that of non-serialized versions.
