Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes is an expansion for the Pokémon TCG that marks the “dawn” of Mega Evolution in cards, while also celebrating iconic characters and Pokémon from the current Scarlet & Violet era. Official announcements list it as an expansion with over 290 cards , suggesting a large amount of content for both players and collectors.
In addition to the "hype" effect of the return of the Mega theme, the diversity of products (ETBs, collections, and special boxes), which come in multiple waves after the initial release, is also key.

A note about ETB content: the official “product showcase” states that the Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box contains nine booster packs from the expansion and a full-art promo card featuring N's Zekrom .
What does this mean for players and collectors?
For players, such a “multi-wave” outcome is often practical: it is easier to plan purchases and gradually upgrade stacks, while the metagame (local environments, league, tournaments) does not “shuffle” overnight. For collectors, the biggest advantage is that larger collections (ETB, pin collections, ex boxes) are time-spaced, making it easier to hunt for specific promo cards and add-ons.
