Riftbound: League of Legends TCG — Vendetta is the fourth main expansion of the Riftbound trading card game, bringing players into the world of the greatest rivalries from the League of Legends universe. The expansion focuses on conflicts between former allies, eternal enemies and members of the same families whose stories have shaped Runeterra.
At the heart of the expansion are legendary conflicts such as Shen versus Zed and Mel versus Ambessa, as well as the rivalry between brothers Nasus and Renekton. Vendetta combines popular champions, new strategies and special collectible artwork depicting some of the most iconic conflicts in League of Legends.
Vendetta introduces 9 new Legend cards and three important gameplay mechanics: Flow, Burn and Empower. The expansion also introduces new combinations of opposing Domain colours, opening additional possibilities for deck building.
The set contains 166 base numbered cards and more than 50 Showcase variants with special artwork. Collectors can discover Rival Overnumbered cards depicting legendary rivalries, as well as special Legend Overnumbered variants.
One of the expansion's most distinctive collector features is a series of 22 Rival Overnumbered cards designed in pairs. Two connected cards create a larger illustration depicting the relationship between rivals, allies or family members from the League of Legends universe.

New Legend Cards in Vendetta
- Akali – a deadly Ionian ninja known for fast and unexpected attacks
- Ambessa – a powerful Noxian commander representing military strength and ruthlessness
- Jayce – an inventor from Piltover combining technology and combat power
- Kennen – a member of the Kinkou Order known for speed and electrical energy
- Mel – an influential strategist whose story is closely connected to Ambessa
- Nasus – a legendary guardian of Shurima and Renekton's brother
- Renekton – a mighty Shuriman warrior defined by his rivalry with Nasus
- Shen – leader of the Kinkou Order who seeks to maintain balance
- Zed – a master of shadows and Shen's longtime rival
Each of the nine new Legends offers different deck-building opportunities. Vendetta encourages new Domain colour combinations, tactical effects and gameplay mechanics that allow players to develop entirely new strategies or upgrade existing decks.
New Gameplay Mechanics
Flow – allows certain cards to be played from the Trash instead of the hand. This opens opportunities for reusing cards and developing strategies around discarded cards.
Burn – moves cards from the Main Deck directly to the Trash. Some cards use Burn to create their own combinations, while others can affect the opponent's deck.
Empower – allows certain cards to gain additional abilities or power after entering play, often by paying a specific cost. Players can therefore upgrade their cards and adapt to changing battlefield conditions.
Vendetta also introduces the new Unit-Gear card type, which counts as both a Unit and Gear. In addition, the expansion features special Decree Spell cards designed for conflicts between opposing Domain colours.
Other additions include Tentacle and Shadow Clone tokens, along with Empowered markers that help track upgraded cards during gameplay.
Special Collectible Cards
Vendetta offers numerous premium card variants that are particularly appealing to collectors and League of Legends fans.
- Rival Overnumbered – 22 special cards that form connected illustrations when paired
- Legend Overnumbered – special collectible variants of all nine new Legend cards
- Signed Overnumbered – variants featuring printed artist signatures
- Crystal Rose Alt-Art – six alternate illustrations inspired by the Crystal Rose theme from League of Legends: Wild Rift
- Showcase Cards – more than 50 special collectible variants with alternate artwork
The Rival Overnumbered cards are particularly interesting because collectors can combine two related cards to create a complete rivalry illustration. This design adds a new dimension to card collecting and is one of the most recognisable features of Vendetta.

Each Vendetta Booster Pack contains 14 cards, including Common, Uncommon, Rare and other special variants, plus an additional slot for a token or Rune card. Booster packs allow players to discover new cards, upgrade decks and search for special Showcase variants.
A highlight of the expansion is the Zed vs. Shen Showdown Decks, the first product of its kind in Riftbound. It includes two ready-to-play 56-card decks, two Vendetta booster packs, two paper playmats, deck boxes and instructions for playing and deck building.
The Showdown Decks are an excellent choice for two players looking to start playing Riftbound, experience the legendary rivalry between Shen and Zed or expand their collections with new cards.
